Fortune 500 companies continue to implement inclusive non-discrimination policies with 93% providing explicit protections on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in the workplace.
This indicates tremendous progress.
However, policies and procedures have not necessarily translated into culture change in the workplace, and this fact remains a difficult reality for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies. And that's why, since 2007, PFLAG has supported workplaces across industries to create space that is welcoming, kind, and respectful for LGBTQ+ employees and customers through our Straight for Equality in the Workplace program.

In this session, participants will learn about what it means to come out today. They will also find out about some of the ways that living authentically positively impacts various aspects of the lives of people who are LGBTQ+ and the power of supportive families, schools, workplaces, and communities
In this session, participants will learn about what many LGBTQ+ symbols, events, and historical references mean—and the impact they continue to have on culture today.
In this session, participants will review key facts about LGBTQ+ history, examine key advocacy issues that will impact people who are LGBTQ+ in 2025, and understand what history can tell us about the challenges and opportunities we currently face. We’ll also consider how the past and LGBTQ+ leaders throughout history can inform the ways in which we take action and create change.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to actively love and support their LGBTQ+ loved ones and why that support is so vital. They will also gain strategies needed to get it right and discover where opportunities to shift from support to affirmation exist.
