In the workplace

Fortune 500 companies continue to implement inclusive non-discrimination policies with 95% providing explicit protections on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in the workplace.

This indicates tremendous progress.

However, policies and procedures have not necessarily translated into culture change in the workplace, and this fact remains a difficult reality for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies. And that's why, since 2007, PFLAG has supported workplaces across industries to create space that is welcoming, kind, and respectful for LGBTQ+ employees and customers through our Straight for Equality in the Workplace program.
